Welcome to PNR series practical workbook of Human Anatomy and Physiology. We created
this practical workbook with several goals in mind: accessibility, customization, and student
engagement – helping students reach high levels of practical aspects in a simplest way. We
observed that students of pharmacy had a difficult time to write the experimental part. They
require a workbook that would be simple and easy to follow. It’s encouraging us for writing
this practical workbook for pharmacy students focusing on 1st year Pharm. D (Human Anatomy
and Physiology) as per new PCI syllabus.
The practical workbook is divided into two main sections – experiments as per syllabus and
question answer section for viva preparation. Each experiment begins with the PRINCIPLE or
BACKGROUND THEORY on which it is based on. Afterwards it has the step-by-step
PROCEDURES in which the working instructions are so framed that it would be easy even for
an average student to perform the experiment without any difficulty. Next comes the
OBSERVATIONS, RESULTS and CONCLUSION which is to be filled by student after
completing the experiment. Relevant theoretical aspects of each experiment along with proper
interpretations are then described under DISCUSSION. This is intended to obviate the
necessity for the student to refer to the textbooks again and again. Last section of book
comprises the QUESTIONS along with suitable ANSWERS which generally asked from the
students are grouped at the end of each experiment which will help the student to clear the
concepts and prepare for viva.
